Here is a reminder about the Bush Foods workshop in Myrniong. Are you interested in learning about bush foods and how you can incorporate them into your farming enterprise?
The PPWCMA, with the support of the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme, will be hosting five bush food workshops across the Port Phillip and Western Port region in October.
PPWCMA Regional Landcare Facilitator, Karen Thomas, said, “These workshops will provide information on identifying, growing and harvesting bush foods, as well as marketing opportunities for landholders. Bush foods are creating a buzz amongst consumers and within the restaurant industry. They are an emerging product as diners and chefs alike grow their interest in traditional superfoods”.
Guest speakers at the workshops will include ethnobotanist and wattle seed grower, Neville Bonney, the Australian Native Food Industry, the Australian Agroforestry Foundation and the restaurant industry.
