After making a delivery of nest boxes on the weekend, the result of a men’s shed project, I was interested to see the article about sugar gliders on Geoff Park’s blog. A lot of work goes into making boxes and while I have visited properties where just about any container has been used for a nest box and with some success but it is important to give consideration to what fauna you want to attract.
Boxes need to suit the requirements of the species, be made of sturdy material, attached at a height so monitoring can take place and no injury is caused to the tree.
