Is this the end for Silver Banksia?

Silver Banksia, Banksia marginata is included in many plantings when it is appropriate to that site’s ecology and a source of plants is available.

Concern has been raised recently about the difficulty in collecting seed as many plants are not setting seed due to lack of suitable pollinators or poor growth over previous seasons. A field trip to look at banksias found that quite a few old plants have reached the end of their life.

The call has gone out to work together to source seed  and care for the mature trees. If you would like to help contact
